Fish and Seafood

Our lab staff have above-average experience in the testing of fish and fish products and are well-qualified to support you in any questions concerning analyses or examinations. In particular we can offer help in the following fields:

Delicatessen Products
We can carry out microbiological, sensory and chemical tests. We will also check for compliance with the requirements of the law and provide a  legal evaluation.

In addition, Dipl.-Ing. Meat and Meat Products
In line with German laws and regulations on the handling of meat and meat products, and using state-of-the-art technology, we check for quality and legal compliance. Based on these findings we then provide an evaluation and make appropriate recommendations.

We examine the quality of milk, dairy products as well as ice-cream and check compliance with legal requirements.

PCR-Analyses
Since April 2004 the new EU Directives 1829 and 1830 have been in effect. These govern the traceability and labelling of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as well as foodstuffs, feedstuffs and additives made of GMOs, irrespective of whether their presence can be proven or not.

The EU-wide enforcement of this mandatory labelling combined with the critical attitude of consumers has led to producers being confronted with higher quality assurance demands as regards food or basic materials. For this reason the monitoring of GMOs is becoming more and more important.

Thanks to its speed and accuracy, the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is currently the most reliable method of identifying genetically modified organisms.

We test your food products in regard to detection and identification of genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
